Trauma & PTSD Treatment in Connecticut
If a past experience still follows you into the present, you’re not broken and you’re not
alone. Trauma can show up as flashbacks or nightmares, feeling on edge or unable to
relax, going numb, avoiding people or places, or reacting strongly to things others don’t
seem to notice. These are normal responses to abnormal events, and they can get
better with the right care.
Our trauma-trained clinicians use proven, evidence-based approaches to help you
process what happened and feel like yourself again, including:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), one of the most effective
treatments for trauma, and still hard to find in many outpatient practices. - Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), especially helpful for children, teens, and their
families. - Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), for reframing the beliefs trauma leaves behind.
- Care across the full spectrum
What We Offer
We treat PTSD, childhood trauma, abuse, grief and loss, accidents, and the kind of complex trauma that builds up over years. Many of our patients are first responders, veterans, and healthcare workers who carry more than most.
You set the pace. We start by helping you feel safe and steady, and we never push you to relive anything before you’re ready. Care is available in person at any of our seven Connecticut locations or fully by telehealth from home. Most major insurance plans and HUSKY Health (Connecticut Medicaid) are accepted.
Healing is possible, and it can start with one conversation.
