Alexandra Mercado

Alexandra Mercado, LPCA has obtained 3 years of experience specializing in forensic psychology. Alexandra has experience working with adults, and adolescents who have been abusers, victims, and survivors of intimate partner violence. With a specialization in Forensic psychology, Alexandra uses cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to address cognitive and behavioral problems that lead to Unhealthy coping skills, substance abuse, alcoholism, drug addiction, violent behavior, depression, anxiety, stress, and more.


Alexandra completed her BA in psychology from Western Connecticut State University and her MA in community psychology with a concentration in forensic psychology from the University of New Haven. Alexandra has also completed her continued education in Mental Health Counseling from Post University.


Alexandra enjoys finding creative ways to discuss difficult topics through grounding and mindfulness practices, strength-focused interventions, conflict resolution, positive self-talk, and alternative healing approaches.
