I am a Master-level Clinician and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with 26 years of experience. My work experience has included director roles and also in various treatment settings, including intensive inpatient programs for adolescents, young adults and adults and psychiatric hospitals and extended day treatment programs.
My approach to therapy is tailored to each individual client’s needs. I have a passion for utilizing strength-based approaches, using a holistic framework. I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus, Humanistic, and Mindfulness-based practices. I work collaboratively to create a supportive therapeutic relationship, identify treatment goals, and help each individual meet them.
I believe the client therapist interaction is particularly critical in making progress toward treatment goals and offers a safe environment for growth. I will work with each individual to identify personal goals in order to assist each person achieve their major potential. I am dedicated to supporting individuals through difficulties with depression and anxiety, relationship issues, substance misuse as well as working with clients with post-traumatic stress disorder, and various life transitions.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Science from Purdue University and a Master of Social Work from Indiana University.
