She uses an integrative therapeutic approach to support her clients reach their goals She has experience working in a child inpatient psychiatric unit, intensive outpatient program, in-home services, and hospital social work with a diverse group of individuals ranging from 2 years old to 92 years old. Jocelyn also has extensive experience working with at-risk and court-involved youth and families dealing with behavioral difficulties in the community.
Jocelyn uses many different treatment methods based on a client’s needs. Her main objective is to ensure her clients feel supported, safe, and validated.
Areas of emphasis include Depression, anxiety, conduct disorder, conflict in relationships, family systems, mood disorders, oppositional defiance disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, child play therapy, substance abuse, truancy, varying degrees of trauma, and various types of physical and/or sexual abuse. Jocelyn uses an array of clinical approaches including Psychodynamic counseling, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Creative/ Pleay therapy for children, to provide an integrated and solution-focused perspective geared towards psychotherapeutic change that meets the specific needs of each client.
