Through the world of therapy, I hope to bring more education and support to pregnant and postpartum mothers, fathers, and birthing people. I am a licensed professional counselor, and a nationally certified counselor and I have advanced training in perinatal mood disorders. I have seven years of experience working with adolescents, families, and parents. I have been in therapy from all levels of needs; from in-home therapy to inpatient psychiatric hospitals.
My style of counseling is positive, person-centered and solution-focused. I believe that the most important part of perinatal mental health is prevention; entering into therapy prior to or during pregnancy is the most effective way to process birth and postpartum. I will provide a safe and soothing environment for all of my clients to work through their identified needs. I use techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy along with pre-and-postpartum workbooks in order to give you hands-on activities.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two toddlers, my husband and traveling to Disney World.
